With our blend of Books-Wine-Coffee we opened in Pinner in the summer of 2018.
Our lease is due to expire in June of this year so we have been looking to understand our landlords future rent expectations. When we add in the council selling the carpark behind us for housing, the reintroduction of business rates from June and an ever-increasing amount of empty property around the area the increases for our type of business will make it too hard for us in our current location.
So, it is with immense sadness that we can now announce that BrOOK’S will not be reopening in Pinner. We originally wanted to prove our idea of a new style independent bookshop which we feel we have done albeit under the most testing of circumstances.
We became London Independent Bookshop of the Year for 2020 so customers and team alike must have created somewhere quite special.
Thank you every one of you who have supported BrOOK’S over the last what is now nearly 3 years … we will miss the buzz and laughter, the smiles and chat, the inspiring authors and brilliant wine evenings.
Our team have been amazing, as have our suppliers and we have loved working with so many local schools and groups. Keep reading!
Please continue to support us while we search for our new physical home.
ENJOY SPECIALLY CURATED BOOKS, SELECTED WINES AND GREAT COFFEE -
BrOOK’S is a curious haven for book-lovers, wine-drinkers and coffee-sippers. Maybe you want to buy a book (or two), meet a friend (or two!), fuel up with a good coffee, celebrate an occasion, or hear an author talk about their latest book – you can do all that and more at BrOOK'S.
We are an independent bookshop, proudly an active part of the local community. Our flexible and inviting layout houses a wide range of fiction and non-fiction, with a dedicated children’s section.
With cosy sofas, high bar stools and plenty in between, you’ll find the perfect place for a glass of champagne before dinner or a chat over tea and cake. Learn more about the BrOOK’S experience here.
